Welcome

Welcome to ToSTY’s website. ToSTY is Temple Shalom's high school youth group. Temple Shalom is located in Aberdeen, NJ. There is at least one temple event per month, and also many out of temple events. We are affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism. Our youth group sends members to the NFTY-GER regional events. All upcoming events are listed below.

Along with events on the local level, there is one NFTY-GER event every 2 months. There are also many NFTY programs which are open for all members to participate in. What’s NFTY?

NFTY is the North American Federation of Temple Youth. Every couple of months there is a regional event where teens from around the tri-state area come together for a weekend, or week. There are usually 6 events per year for members. At each event one can expect there to be between 100 and 200 people. There are programs and then free time! You get to see all your jewish friends and hang out with them for the weekend. It is a lot of fun and recomended to everyone.

There are also plenty of NFTY summer programs and school programs. There is UMC (Urban Mitzvah Corps) where you do community service during the day and then have fun at night. You live in a frat house with 25 other teens. NFTY also has a summer program to Israel, where teens tour from Golan to the Negev and spend time in their group of 35 teens. There are URJ camps that have plenty of fun programs to do during the day like any NFTY program, it’s TONS OF FUN!
